Privacy policy

This policy describes how SlateNote collects, uses, and protects data, including data accessed through connected services like Google Drive.

1. Information we collect

We collect account details (name, email, role), organization settings, usage data, and content you upload or create in SlateNote (projects, assets, comments, and related metadata).

2. Google Drive data

When you connect Google Drive, we access Drive metadata to help you select folders and sync files. This may include folder and file names, IDs, parent relationships, and modified time. If you enable Drive ingest or delivery, we read file content to import assets into SlateNote and upload approved versions to the folders you choose.

3. Scopes requested

We request Google OAuth scopes as needed for the integration:

  • drive.file - create and manage files created by SlateNote.
  • userinfo.email - identify the connected Google account.

4. How we use data

We use data to operate, improve, and secure SlateNote, provide support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

5. Sharing and service providers

We share data with trusted service providers (hosting, storage, analytics, email) only as necessary to provide the service. We may store files and metadata in cloud infrastructure.

6. Data retention

We retain data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time; access tokens are revoked and no new Drive data is collected. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest and follow industry practices to protect data. No system is perfectly secure; we continually improve our safeguards.
